:: Review ::
Sum phun muzik from 1998. Groovy, rawkin', jammin' and spiffy, mon! Enough
with the irrascible vernacular (even I don't know what the hell it means). Anyhow,
this is a CD of instrumental, gee-tar rock music, something akin to say, perhaps,
Blues Saraceno, Steve Vai, or the Hellecasters during their heavy moments.
Well-performed
and produced CD with enough spunk to put some fire in your evening drive. As a
matter of fact, this kind of up-beat guitar-slingin' music is great for crusin',
man, without a doubt. Elements of fusion, jazz and country rear their likely heads
here and there, but make no mistake, this is still guitar rock. And good guitar rock
at that. Just don't say heavy metal. Like I mentioned, the CD is from 1998, so I
have no idea what the guys (band? one-off project? jam session recording?) are up to
now, but it maintains itself throughout. Just enough good music that doesn't
overstay its welcome.
Shrapnelophile like myself (or I was), would be hard-pressed to sit through,
intensely, 74-minutes of guitar instrumentals.
