Moonspell :: Persephone’s Dream

Moonspell by Persephone’s Dream is a disc I just cannot stop listening to since I got it a few weeks ago. The music is just great, not a bad track on this well crafted CD. With its refreshing sounds and mystical qualities, this album leaves you feeling in a great mood. It’s a prog CD with many influences, you can hear some Rush, Marillion, Yes, and even pop. The band takes those neo progressive impressions and influences and blends their own sound and style to take you on a musical adventure to places and moods that evoke an experience that just has to be heard. I had a great time with this CD, the band is not afraid to take chances and in effect create some of the most diverse prog I’ve heard in quite some time. This is good music folks, highly recommended. If you are like me, and you love good classic and neo progressive rock, then you will love this CD. Those descriptions do not do this CD justice, it’s like new age, but with a heavier intensity, hard rock with prog injections, art rock; I could go on and on. Although we try not to label bands, and I will not, except to say please support them by buying this fantastic work from Persephone’s Dream. The band is made up of Rowen Poole on string guitars, keyboards and backing vocals; Ed Wiancko on acoustic and electronic drums, percussion, and backing vocals; Chris Siegle on 5 string bass, keyboards, and backing vocals; and Karin Nicely on vocals and lyrics.

Rating: This CD gets nine out of ten keyboards, I highly recommend this CD.
