This is the newest release by DVS records. The album was released in
Europe in spring of 2001. Of course we don’t get new releases from
Europe until 3 to 6 months later. The music was recorded and mixed at
Blue Sky Studio
from November 2000 to march 2001. Matttias Noren created the artwork for
Alias Eyes album cover.

The group hails from Germany. The bands musicians include vocalist
Philip Griffith’s, keyboardist Vytas Lemke and band mates Frank
Fischer bass, Matthias Richter guitars and drummer Ludwig Bendek. The
last time we heard Philip Griffith’s vocals was on his contribution to
QuiXote Music
Poor
Genetic Materials, Summerland. On that review, we praised how
superb his vocals were. So our anticipation to hear this album was at
the highest level. Alias Eyes did not disappoint us. As a matter of
fact, Alias Eyes delivers an excellent freshman effort. Led by
songwriting of Philip Griffiths and keyboardist Vytas Lemke. From the
start, the music is engaging and addictive. All the songs on this album
are standouts, especially Field Of Names and The Readiness Is All. The
music is electrifying; combining Jazz and Neo progressive styles. The
music is intelligently written and beckons you to listen to it often.
Prog4you chooses Alias Eyes "Field Of Names" as album of the
month for September.
We give it our highest honors 9.5 out of 10 keyboards.
