BIO ::
The group Artland was formed in 1997 by Israeli musicians who immigrated to
Israel from the former USSR. They all played music in various groups in the
USSR before coming to Israel. The music of Artland consist of original
compositions by the group members. Although based on the progressive Rock genre, the
music is very much updated with the latest developments in ambient and electronic
sound technology. The group recently released a self produced debut album, entitled
" Between the Sky and the Earth" . The material for this album was composed during
the last three years as the group slowly worked to complete the recording.

The Beauty of progressive music is that it
has no geographical and no philosophical or intellectual boundaries. Now the genre
expands itself into Israel and gives birth to Artland. The group formed out of the
ashes that were once the USSR. This is an instrumental album that fuses progressive
rock and ambient and electronic music. The music beckons to create it's own
category. This music is similar to Kerry Livgren solo projects and early Yanni.
Other noted comparisons are Jan Hammer and Tangerine Dream.
Patrick Losinsky, Alex Tantsiurah, Sergey Nikolaev & Sandy Bagnov are Artland. They
are a very tight and polished group. The musical compositions are layered and
somewhat technical. This is a classy and recorded CD. Patrick Losinsky and Alex
Tantsiurah composed all the music. The album was produced and recorded & mixed by
Patrick Losinsky and Artland. The group did everything. This album sounds as if they
have been doing this for quite some time, which for a freshman effort, we give it
high praise. It also speaks well for a small studio recording. It shows you that if
you want to do something bad enough you can do it. This also shows you how far a
small studio recording has come these day's.
This is an album we think you will find enjoyable and relaxing especially for people
who need to chill and take a brake. For us we love to go outside on our deck and tip
back some cold one's and listens to Artland. This music just simply relaxes you and
takes you somewhere else. If you’re looking to be mentally challenged, look
elsewhere.
The Prog4You gives this Album based on its originality and merit 7 out of ten
keyboards.
